I just bought a new Samsung Q430-11 HD LED Laptop and splashed a bunch of water all over the keyboard- What a sinking feeling. I successfully avoided catastrophe by making sure I didnt tilt the unit. Tilting it can make the water run over the circuit board casing shorts as it flows.Turned it off immediately. Keeping it level I carried it to the bathroom and with the hairdryer set to warm only I dred out the keyboard. Dont get a lot of heat on your display this could mess it up - Slow and steady drying out of the keyboard should do the trick.
